Exam Updates & PACP Online Classes
Dear PA College Prep friends and families,
In these difficult times and as leaders in college preparation in the Irvine community for two decades, we would like to take a moment to update you about recent changes by the College Board and let you know that we are here to help and support the continued academic success of every one of our students.
Currently, the College Board has cancelled the May 2nd SAT test, but the June 6th test date remains on the schedule for the time being. There have also been some major changes to the AP Exams:
-
Traditional exams will not be offered this year
-
45-minute exams will be offered online via computer, tablet, or smartphone
-
The exams will be offered on two dates; one earlier for students who are ready immediately, one later for students who wish to prepare more. Test dates and question format will be released on April 3rd
-
Colleges and Universities fully support this change and will recognize these scores
In addition, The College Board has offered self-study tools to help students prepare. However, with the rush to online learning, with new formats and less contact with the teacher, it may not be easy to schedule or organize lessons to sufficiently prepare for the test.
However, these circumstances don’t have to be a stumbling block to AP success: We’re here to help!
Intensive AP Review Courses
PA College Prep offers a variety of AP review and prep courses that cover the range of skills necessary to perform at the top level. Our professional instructors have years of experience helping students master the AP material. All our online classes are taught live by our best instructors using a variety of software tools to provide an engaging learning experience.
SAT Subject Test Courses
The College Board is currently accepting registrations for the subject tests. Because the SAT Subject tests are part of the college application, it’s important for students to do well on these tests. If your student needs practice, we can provide the material, instruction, and support to achieve a top score.
Private Tutoring
There’s no question that working from home can be a challenge for even the best student. With more distractions and fewer opportunities to communicate with teachers, students may feel adrift or unable to fully understand their assignments. Whether preparing for the AP or SAT Subject tests, or just working through distance learning assignments, our experienced teachers will guide your student to top marks.
Just in the last year, we have helped over 10 students achieve perfect scores on the SAT and ACT exams! We can help your student too.
In times of uncertainty, we know one thing for sure: The sun will rise tomorrow, and the world will go on. With over 21 years of serving the community and looking forward to another 20 plus years of helping students achieve their dreams, PA College Prep is prepared to help you continue on and exceed your goals on the AP, SAT, or regular classwork.
All of us here at PA College Prep wish you health and happiness and extend our hand in support and help to yours.
Thank you,
Faculty and Staff
